Job summary

Medcor Safety, a subsidiary of Medcor, is seeking a Safety Professional for a New Construction project in Worcester, MA. The role focuses on identifying hazards, communicating with site crews and management, and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

The ideal candidate will have OSHA 30 Construction, CPR/First Aid and CHST/OSHA 500 preferred, plus 5 years of relevant safety experience and familiarity with National Grid projects.

Qualifications

• Must have CPR/First Aid certification
• OSHA 30 Construction completion required
• CHST and OSHA 500 preferred
• Minimum 5 years of safety experience
• Experience working with National Grid preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop positive professional relationships while working closely with field personnel, all levels of management and outside agencies during all phases of construction.
• Coordinate and conduct audits of all crews to identify areas for improvement of unsafe work conditions and practices and recognize those for safe work practices.
• Document and communicate site audit information.
• Audit training records of all field personnel.
• Implement all federal, local, and site programs, policies, and procedures.
• Receive, review, and participate with the development of accident briefs, safety-related publications, bulletins, and reports.
• Participate with the development of Site-Specific Safety Plans and kick off/safety meetings
• Review client/owner specific requirements and determine our client complies.
