Medcor Inc. is seeking a Safety Professional for a full-time role at a Worcester project. The candidate will identify hazards, communicate with site crews and management, and ensure compliance with federal, state, local, general contractor, and owner requirements.

Qualifications

  • 5 Years relevant safety experience required.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Card Required.
  • OSHA 30 Hour Construction Certification required.
  • CHST OSHA 500 Preferred.
  • Experience with National Grid preferred.

  • Develop positive professional relationships with field personnel and management during all phases of construction.
  • Coordinate and conduct audits of crews to identify unsafe conditions and promote safe practices.
  • Document and communicate site audit information.
  • Audit training records of all field personnel.
  • Implement all federal, local and site safety programs, policies and procedures.
  • Participate in development of Site Specific Safety Plans and safety meetings.
  • Review client/owner requirements to ensure compliance.

Safety Professional Full Time Medcor Safety a subsidiary of Medcor is a Safety Services company serving the Construction and General Industry The Safety Professional will be responsible for identifying safety hazards and communicating with site crews and management to mitigate these hazards The successful candidate must be a team player good communicator and knowledgeable of Federal State Local General Contractor and Owner Requirements governing the project

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Develop positive professional relationships while working closely with field personnel all levels of management and outside agencies during all phases of construction
  • Coordinate and conduct audits of all crews to identify areas for improvement of unsafe work conditions and practices and recognize those for safe work practices
  • Document and communicate site audit information
  • Audit training records of all field personnel
  • Implement all federal local and site programs policies and procedures
  • Receive review and participate with the development of accident briefs safety related publications bulletins and reports
  • Participate with the development of Site Specific Safety Plans and kick offsafety meetings
  • Review clientowner specific requirements and determine our client complies
MINIMUM EDUCATIONEXPERIENCE
  • Current CPR First Aid Card Required
  • OSHA 30 Hour Construction Required
  • CHST OSHA 500 Preferred
  • 5 Years relevant safety experience required
  • Experience working with National Grid Preferred
COMPUTER SKILLS
  • Ability to perform basic word processing and generate spreadsheets as necessary Also access and use the Internet and E mail
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee may regularly be required to stand bend squat sit demonstrate manual dexterity climb stairs and ladders work on elevated platforms talk hear and see
  • On occasion may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to 50 pounds during the workday
  • Specific abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust and focus
