Whitaker Construction is seeking a Safety Technician to support the company safety program through site inspections, hazard identification, training, and incident investigations on construction projects. You will work with the HSE team and field personnel to ensure OSHA compliance and adherence to Whitaker’s safety standards.

The role requires the ability to travel to various project locations, strong communication skills, and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, construction or safety experience beneficial.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify hazards and communicate corrective actions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct job site inspections and safety audits to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Identify hazards and assist with corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and conduct toolbox talks.
• Assist with incident investigations and report findings.
• Develop site‑specific safety plans and SOPs.
• Promote safety culture across job sites.
