Job summary

This intermediate safety professional role focuses on field-based safety oversight at construction sites, enforcing health and safety laws, and supporting the implementation of safety procedures across projects.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years of safety experience, and OSHA 30 certification (OSHA 500/CHST preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in safety, engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years professional safety experience or equivalent.
• OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 500 or CHST preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an in-house expert on OSHA, KOSHA, PSC, DOT, PHMSA, and NESC regulatory matters across the company.
• Coordinates compliance with company policies (LOTO, hot work, confined space, etc.).
• Prepares and documents safety meetings and toolbox talks at predefined intervals.
• Oversees contractors to ensure safety expectations are aligned with LG&E/KU requirements.
• Delivers safety training as needed and participates in safety committees.
