Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Safety Manager to support the senior safety manager and project team on a construction project in Colorado. This role is safety sensitive and requires collaboration with owners, trade partners, and company staff to implement safety initiatives.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of safety experience on commercial construction, a 4-year degree (or SOH degree), and strong communication skills with proficiency in MS Office, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree preferred
• Occupational Safety and Health degree suggested
• 3+ years of safety experience on commercial construction projects
• CHST certification suggested
• Valid Driver's License required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel templates; Prolog; Primavera; AutoDesk Suite

Responsibilities

• Communicate with stakeholders including project owners, insurance carriers, and partners
• Attend owner meetings and liaise with safety representatives
• Develop and manage safety program and budgets
• Lead safety audits and process improvements
• Contribute to six-step quality control/safety processes
• Conduct safety training and tailgate sessions
• Analyze safety trends and implement corrective actions
