Job summary

EnSafe is seeking a Construction Safety Oversight Professional to support a client site for a minimum of 1 year, with extension potential. You will champion safety, ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and local regs, and work with project teams to maintain safe work environments.

You will conduct field audits, review JHAs and Site Safety Plans, lead incident investigations, and provide training to improve on-site safety performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field; will consider commensurate experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience on large or complex projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and applicable state/local regulations.
  • Proven ability to perform field-based safety oversight and collaborate with contractors and project teams.
  • Excellent communication, observational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and industry software.
  • Ability to work up to 12 hours/day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily safety oversight on large-scale construction sites, including conducting field audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with project safety plans, OSHA regulations, and EnSafe safety standards.
  • Lead incident investigations and root-cause analyses; recommend and track corrective actions.
  • Review and validate Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Site Safety Plans, Lift Plans, and other safety documentation.
  • Facilitate safety training, toolbox talks, and informal coaching to improve on-site safety performance.
  • Work closely with project leadership to integrate safety considerations into planning, scheduling, and execution activities.
  • Identify potential risks during pre-construction and design phases and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and industry best practices.
  • Escalate safety concerns and provide recommendations to project and client leadership promptly.

As a Construction Safety Oversight Professional, you will champion safety excellence, promote compliance with applicable federal and local regulations, and partner closely with project managers and contractors to maintain safe work environments. Duties/Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Skills/Experience

Minimum Skills and Requirements:

Preferred Skills
  • Safety certifications such as CHST, CSP, and/or OSHA 30‑Hour/501/502 training.
  • Experience supporting projects through all phases, from pre-construction to commissioning.

Actual compensation for this position in Massachusetts will be based upon a variety of factors, including geographic location, education, related work experience, certifications, skills, and current market conditions.

Massachusetts pay range

$50 - $55 USD
