Qualifications

• Communicate effectively in English, both oral and written.
• One year of specialized safety oversight experience on construction projects.
• Knowledge of NAVFAC/OSHA safety standards and EM385-1-1.
• Able to use Office, Primavera, CostWorks and other estimating tools.
• Must have 30-hour OSHA construction safety class within 5 years.
• 40-hour Construction Safety Hazard Awareness Training within 3 years.
• Annual 24 hours of formal safety training in relevant competencies.
• US citizenship proof; base/building access as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor compliance with EM385-1-1 version current at award.
• Ensure compliance with local safety procedures when stricter than EM385-1-1.
• Perform safety inspections on NAVFAC Pacific projects within AOR.
• Stay current with NAVFAC safety policies and reporting timelines.
• Assist with technical clarification of safety standards for contractors.
