Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking a Construction Safety Manager in Uxbridge, MA to provide full-time safety leadership for a distribution center construction project. You will work closely with project leadership and subcontractors to maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction certification is required.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Meet one of the following: OSHA 500 with 6+ years in construction safety management; or a B.S. in EHS with 3+ years in construction safety; or CSP/CIH/ASP/CHST with 5+ years in construction safety management.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction regulations and high-risk activities.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with teams.
• Occasional overtime and Saturday availability.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the site-specific safety program and emergency plans.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions.
• Review JHAs and PTPs to verify safety controls before work.
• Oversee high-risk activities including fall protection, electrical work, LOTO, excavation, confined spaces, crane/rigging, mobile equipment, hot work, and elevated work.
• Lead toolbox talks, pre-task safety discussions, and contractor safety meetings.
• Support incident investigations with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Verify training, orientations, and PPE compliance for workers and subs.
