Job summary

WELBRO Building Corporation seeks an experienced Safety Manager for its Central Florida operations. You will lead and evolve the safety program, perform on-site inspections, and coordinate with project teams to minimize risk.

The role focuses on compliance, hazard control, and proactive safety initiatives across multiple sites. Responsibilities include educating workers, managing incident reporting, and guiding workers’ compensation processes while partnering with project managers and HR.

Qualifications

• Seven years of supervisory safety experience in commercial construction.
• CHST credential.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and safety regs.
• Experience with hazard control, incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Ability to communicate safety topics to field personnel and management.
• Proven ability to maintain accurate safety records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety program development and enforcement across projects.
• Conduct jobsite safety inspections, document hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor subcontractors and employees for adherence to safety program.
• Plan and deliver safety trainings (HAZCOM, PPE, CPR/First Aid, trench safety).
• Coordinate incident reporting and worker's compensation issues with HR and leadership.
• Oversee hurricane and disaster preparedness and incident response planning.
