Job summary

Lindus Construction, a family-owned company, seeks a Construction Safety Manager to develop and enforce health and safety plans, deliver training, and investigate incidents. The role requires 5+ years in safety management and OSHA 10 certification, with extensive travel to Twin Cities work sites.

In this position you will promote a safety-first culture, complete OSHA reporting, and collaborate with site teams. A driver’s license is required and a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Certified required.
• Minimum 5 years of safety management experience in construction, manufacturing or service-related industries.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% to Twin Cities area.
• Driver’s license required.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute health and safety plans according to legal guidelines and OSHA.
• Provide training on construction hazards, fall prevention, PPE, equipment conditions, etc.
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
• Investigate accidents and prepare necessary paperwork for workers’ compensation and OSHA.
• Manage Return to Work program.
• Maintain annual training documentation and records.
• Complete required OSHA documentation and reporting.
• Establish a culture of health and safety and enforce policies.
• Visit jobsites to ensure policies are enforced and conditions are safe.
• Correct unsafe conditions by inspecting equipment and worksite setup.
• Issue Corrective Action Notices to ensure safety compliance.

Construction Safety Manager

Develop and execute health and safety plans according to legal guidelines and/or OSHA

Provide training to all individuals on all aspect of construction hazards (fall prevention, PPE, equipment conditions, etc.)

Conduct all training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention for new and existing individuals

Investigate accidents and prepare all relative paperwork/forms for workers’ compensation and/or OSHA

Manage Return to Work program

Annual training documentation and record keeping

Complete required documentation for OSHA or other reporting agencies

Establish a culture of health and safety by preparing and enforcing policies

Visit jobsites to ensure policies are being enforced properly

Correct unsafe working conditions by inspecting equipment and worksite setup

Provide Corrective Action Notices to individuals that do not adhere to our safety program to assure full understanding safety importance

Extensive travel (80%) is involved by automobile in visiting the various job sites/customers/suppliers in the Twin Cities Metro area during the day

Construction Safety Manager Qualifications:

Associate degree in safety management or relevant field is preferred

OSHA 10 Certified, required

Construction Safety Manager Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in safety management (required), construction, manufacturing or service‑related company.

Equivalent education, training and/or related work experience.
