Job summary

The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies. We are seeking an experienced Safety/Construction Safety Manager to conduct daily site inspections, ensure OSHA compliance, review safety plans, and support program safety reporting across multiple Los Angeles area projects.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in U.S.

Qualifications

• Must comply with OSHA regulations and safety procedures on all sites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for daily reports and safety discussions.
• Willingness and ability to travel between multiple project sites in the greater Los Angeles area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily construction site safety inspections and document observations.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.
• Review safety documentation (JHAs, MOPs, Fall Protection Plans, Crane Lift Plans, Excavation Plans, Scaffolding Plans, Confined Space Entry).
• Lead safety discussions during meetings and with field teams.
• Prepare daily safety reports and weekly Health, Safety & Environmental Observations.
• Review incident reports and participate in safety stand-downs and lessons-learned reporting.
• Monitor OCIP compliance and support safety reporting for the Program Safety Manager.
• Collaborate with project management, contractor management, and field teams across sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily construction site safety inspections and document observations.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, project safety requirements, and established safety procedures.
• Review contractor safety documentation, including JHAs, MOPs, Fall Protection Plans, Crane Lift Plans, Excavation Plans, Scaffold Erection Plans, and Confined Space Entry procedures.
• Participate in construction meetings and lead safety discussions regarding site observations and upcoming work activities.
• Prepare daily safety reports and weekly Health, Safety & Environmental Observation Reports.
• Review incident reports, participate in safety stand-downs, and assist with lessons-learned reporting.
• Monitor compliance with Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) requirements.
• Support the Program Safety Manager with safety reporting, analysis, meetings, and other program needs.
• Work collaboratively with project management, contractor management, and field construction teams across multiple project sites.

Candidates must have:

• 7+ years of U.S. commercial construction experience with a General Contractor
• 5+ years of California construction experience with a contractor or major subcontractor
• 2+ years of construction experience on educational projects in a campus environment
• Experience managing or overseeing field construction teams across multiple projects
• Experience with demolition, renovation, and new construction projects
• Experience working with OCIP programs
• Experience with safety incident reporting and daily construction reporting
• Experience with modernization/renovation projects involving hazardous-material abatement or remediation, including asbestos and lead-based paint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel between multiple project sites throughout the greater Los Angeles area

Required Certifications

Candidates must hold a current and active:

• SMS (Safety Management Specialist), CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), OR CSMC (Certified Safety Manager Construction)
• First Aid/CPR/AED Certification

Copies of current certifications will be required as part of the submission process.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Safety Management, Safety Engineering, or a related field
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
• OSHA 500 certification
• Additional construction safety and health certifications
