Pay: $45-$55/hr (based on experience and credentials)

Schedule: 5/10s with occasional 60-hour weeks

Position Overview:

Accountable Safety Solutions is seeking a Bilingual Construction Safety Specialist fluent in both Spanish and English, preferably living in the Atlanta Metro area, to join our team. This role is integral to maintaining and enhancing safety standards on construction projects across the Southeast region. You will develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures, conduct inspections, and provide training to ensure compliance with regulations. This field position requires daily site walks, active engagement with workers, field supervision, and management to foster a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct and lead site-specific safety orientations.
• Ensure contractors adhere to project-specific rules and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
• Collaborate daily with Superintendents to coordinate safety activities and High-Risk Work Permits.
• Review and approve contractor Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate and approve high-risk work permits (e.g., Hot Work, Confined Space, Elevated Work).
• Enforce contractor compliance with the Site-Specific Safety Plan, including training, inspections, and documentation.
• Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to eliminate or mitigate risks.
• Educate and coach project teams and contractors on safety guidelines and policies.
• Conduct regular job site inspections and document findings in Procore.
• Perform weekly safety audits and record results.
• Manage the Behavioral-Based Observation Program to encourage worker participation.
• Administer safety incentive programs.
• Investigate incidents, document findings, and complete detailed reports.
• Maintain comprehensive safety documentation, including JSAs, Tool Box Talks, Safety Permits, and equipment inspections.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years in construction safety.

Certifications (preferred/required):

• BCSP Certifications (CHST, SMP, ASP, CSP) strongly preferred.
• OSHA 500 strongly preferred; OSHA 30 required.
• CPR/First Aid certified.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS standards.
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent judgment and ethics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety-related software (e.g., Procore).
• In-depth understanding of construction safety practices and industry standards.
