Job summary

Rogers-O'Brien Construction is seeking a dedicated Safety Manager for mission-critical projects in Fairfield, TX, with a preference for Data Center experience. You will foster a safety-conscious culture, implement proactive safety programs, mentor crews, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards to keep everyone safe on every job site.

The role involves collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and on-site personnel to train, inspect, and improve safety measures, with travel as needed

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in safety management within construction.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA requirements (local, state, and federal).
• Experience developing and implementing site-specific safety programs.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive risk assessments and emergency procedures.
• Capability to evaluate subcontractor qualifications and training programs.
• Flexibility to travel as needed for project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Promote Rogers-O'Brien's safety culture across projects.
• Collaborate with Superintendents and Project Managers to develop Job Hazard Analyses and safe work plans.
• Identify hazardous conditions and unsafe activities, providing improvement recommendations.
• Supervise and implement site-specific safety programs, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.
• Conduct site-specific orientation training for staff and subcontractors to ensure safety compliance.
• Ensure the proper start-up of projects, including posting of labor and safety signage.
• Submit comprehensive site safety inspection reports to maintain project safety standards.
• Conduct and document daily safety inspections, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Investigate and document incidents involving property damage, personal injury, and safety violations.
• Lead incident analysis with root-cause focus and lessons learned.
• Accompany OSHA compliance officers and insurance inspectors during audits to ensure compliance.
• Assist in developing and managing the project safety budget.
