Job summary

Pankow Builders in Los Angeles is seeking a Safety Manager to handle complex safety issues, evaluating tasks, anticipating hazards, and developing proactive solutions under the direction of the Senior Safety Manager. You will investigate incidents with root-cause analysis and coordinate the injury management program to ensure timely responses.

The role requires an active BCSP CHST, 5+ years of vertical, tunnel, or heavy civil construction experience, and demonstrated training capabilities.

Qualifications

• Active BCSP CHST certification required.
• Safety-related degree or equivalent experience.
• FA/CPR instructor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex field tasks and anticipate hazards.
• Develop and deliver Competent Person level training content.
• Review plans, schedules and PRP to identify hazards across the project lifecycle.
• Investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis as directed by Senior Safety Manager.
• Coordinate injury management program under Senior Safety Manager.
• Provide policy and regulation interpretation; ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, ASME.
