Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Safety Manager to supervise all safety efforts on a single large project with direct reports. You will lead the safety program, ensure compliance with safety plans, and coach the project team to foster a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety Management or Engineering preferred.
• 4–5 years of construction safety management experience.
• BCSP credential required or equivalent.
• OSHA safety course instruction credential (GU/OSHA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports and oversees safety on the project and leads the safety program.
• Ensures compliance with safety plans, submittals, and inspections.
• Carries out SafetyNet audits and produces trend reports to drive action.
• Trains and mentors project teams on safety processes and requirements.
• Investigates incidents and coordinates with insurers and stakeholders.
