Job summary

Onni is seeking a Safety Coordinator in Long Beach, CA to grow your career in construction safety, focusing on safety management systems, regulatory compliance, and on-site leadership.

You will support teams committed to doing the job right and safely, with responsibilities spanning inspections, incident investigations, training, and maintaining OSHA/CALOSHA records. This role offers hands-on growth and teamwork.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required.
• Currently enrolled in accredited college with a major in occupational health and safety preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English (Spanish a plus).
• CPR and First Aid Certified, OSHA 30 preferred.
• Strong documentation capacity with ability to meet deadlines.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Must be organized with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with safety and health inspections and ensures corrective actions are implemented.
• Assists in investigating injuries and accidents to determine causes and corrective actions.
• Reviews accident investigations to verify corrective actions meet requirements.
• Arranges training as required by the Accident Prevention Program.
• Maintains commitment to accident prevention across management and staff.
• Enforces safety rules, regulations, and policies consistently.
