Polk Mechanical Company seeks a Safety Coordinator to act as the primary safety professional on a project or site. You will implement safety programs, coach field personnel, and manage incidents using SMS/Procore.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, OSHA 30/500, and 3–5 years of safety or construction experience; OSHA 30/500 required; CSHO/CHST preferred. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential for success.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required; safety education is preferred.
• OSHA certifications or equivalent safety credentials are valued.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with coaching abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate safety protocols with project supervision at all jobsite levels.
• Ensure safety expectations from GC, Polk, and regulators are communicated and followed.
• Complete regular safety assessments; document hazards and corrective actions.
• Communicate with Site or Regional Safety Manager on incidents and high-risk activities.
• Maintain documentation in SMS/Procore or other systems.
• Provide coaching to Safety Representatives and field personnel.
• Coordinate safety staffing for shutdowns, commissioning, and tie-ins.
• Lead or support incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Deliver site-specific safety training and toolbox talks.
• Review high-risk permits (hot work, confined space, lift plans).
