Job summary

Environmental Resources Management, Inc. seeks a Field-Based Construction Safety Specialist (Biotech) in Sunnyvale, CA. This full-time fixed-term (3.5 months) role focuses on establishing and improving site safety programs across multiple ongoing construction projects.

You will lead safety culture initiatives, act as Owner's representative with contractors, and perform daily on-site safety observations, inspections, and investigations to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in H&S in construction.
• CHST certification a plus.
• Experience with electrical safety, excavation, confined spaces, fall protection, rigging and crane operations.

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture on site.
• Act as Owner's representative with contractors.
• Provide daily observations of on-site safety practices.
• Provide timely, high-quality safety technical support.
• Carry out regular workplace inspections for compliance.
• Coordinate job safety analyses and risk assessments.
• Prepare and submit local/state/internal reports.
• Lead investigations into serious adverse events and track safety performance.
