Job summary

McGough is seeking a Safety Coordinator to manage and enforce safety programs on construction sites, coordinating with the Safety Team and project personnel to ensure regulatory compliance and incident prevention.

The role requires a 2-year degree in a safety-related field, OSHA 30, CHST target within 2 years, and 4–7+ years of field experience. Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly valued, with strong communication and leadership skills essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year degree in occupational safety, safety/health, or construction management.
• 4-7+ years of field-related experience in construction safety.
• OSHA 30 training required.
• First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED training.
• CHST within 2 years of appointment.
• Ability to pass background and security screenings.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Safety Team and project staff to enforce safety policies.
• Lead development and enhancement of the overall project safety program.
• Provide safety leadership to assigned project(s).
• Hold pre-construction safety planning meetings with jobsite staff and subcontractors.
• Conduct weekly jobsite walk-throughs and safety meetings.
• Investigate incidents and maintain safety documentation.
