Job summary

Turner Construction's Atlanta Main division seeks an intern to assist in safety and loss control on construction projects or office locations. You will support the Building LIFE program and help ensure compliance with safety policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating training, conducting inspections, maintaining safety records, and aiding in incident investigations while developing hands-on skills in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing college/university degree in safety or related field.
• Basic knowledge of safety and environmental principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Proactive, organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing safety programs on construction projects and offices.
• Identify and report safety violations or unsafe practices.
• Coordinate safety duties for meetings and trainings (toolbox talks, preplanning).
• Assist with coordinating training and orientations.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance.
• Promote safe work practices and OSHA/Regulatory compliance.
• Assist with drug screening administration.
• Document meetings and assist with inspections and summaries.
• Maintain safety records (logs, incident investigations, training records).
• Support worker orientation and participation tracking.
• Other duties assigned by supervisor.
