Job summary

Gradiant, a Boston-headquartered water solutions company, is seeking a Construction Safety Engineer to lead safety programs on Boise-area industrial projects. You will develop, implement, and maintain safety plans that meet OSHA, client, and Gradiant requirements.

You will conduct risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations, coach site personnel, and promote a proactive safety culture. CHST certification is required, with preferred ASP/CSP/OHST qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of construction safety experience on industrial, commercial, heavy civil, energy, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
• Required: CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician)
• Preferred: ASP, CSP, OHST, OSHA 500/510, First Aid/CPR Instructor

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain project-specific safety and health programs.
• Ensure OSHA and client safety requirements are met.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Identify workplace hazards and perform risk assessments.
• Develop JHAs and AHAs and verify corrective actions.
• Monitor high-risk activities (fall protection, excavation, confined space, electrical, crane).
• Lead incident, injury investigations and root cause analysis.
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and coach staff.
