Job summary

Shirley Parsons is assisting a leading MEP contractor in Boise, ID to appoint a Safety Manager responsible for overseeing safety across multiple projects, driving a positive safety culture, and leading site safety teams. You will conduct site inspections, investigations and audits, and implement corrective actions to continually improve safety performance.

Work with the Regional Safety Director to analyze metrics, deliver training in line with OSHA requirements, and engage with operations

Qualifications

• CSP or CHST required with 8–10+ years of safety management on major construction projects.
• MEP experience is highly desired and beneficial.
• Strong communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Undertake job site inspections, accident investigations and audits with corrective actions.
• Highlight safety metrics and trends to regional leadership with data-driven insights.
• Lead orientation and OSHA-compliant training programs for new hires.

Job description

A leading MEP contractor is looking to appoint a Safety Manager in Boise, ID. You will be responsible for overseeing safety across several projects in the region, leading safety personnel, to ensure a strong safety culture and performance amongst the job-site teams. The Role:

• Undertake job site inspections, accident investigations and audits as deemed necessary - putting forward corrective actions to continually develop the safety program and culture
• Work in partnership with the Regional Safety Director in highlighting key safety metrics/trends on projects, which will be reported back to senior leadership
• Conduct new hire-orientation and implement training programs in compliance with all OSHA requirements
• Engage with all operational leadership, job-site teams, GC and the client in regards to safety related matters - acting as the technical expert for any issues that may arise

The Candidate:

• A minimum of 8-10 years proven experience managing safety on major construction projects. MEP experience highly desired.
• CSP or CHST (Required)
• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering or other related discipline (preferred)
• A strong communicator who can engage with both key internal and external stakeholders
• Based in Boise, ID and happy to travel to projects across the wider Boise area
