Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Safety Engineer in Denver to support the safety manager and project teams on construction sites. The role emphasizes implementation of safety policies, corrective actions, and incident investigations across field and office settings.

The candidate should have a 4-year degree (OSH preferred) and strong communication skills, with a valid driver's license and experience with MS Office, Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree is preferred.
• Occupational Safety and Health degree suggested.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Strong communication skills required.
• MS Office, Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoDesk Suite experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the safety manager and project team to complete construction safely.
• Assist with planning, monitoring work activities, and correcting unsafe acts.
• Conduct project safety audits and participate in inspections.
• Assist with OSHA inspections and incident investigations.
• Maintain accident prevention, safety management, and crisis plans.
• Coordinate with staff and trade partners on safety requirements.
• Attend required safety courses.
• Learn construction processes and roles across sites.
