Job summary

Compliance Management International (CMI) is seeking a seasoned Construction Safety Specialist to support a fast-paced project. You will work with general contractors and field teams to identify hazards, enforce OSHA compliance, and promote a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, leading safety orientations and toolbox talks, and coordinating safety documentation and investigations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 510 and OSHA 30 Construction certifications are required or recently renewed.
• Experience with excavation and demolition safety is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify hazards.
• Coach and support contractors and field personnel on safe work practices.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and project safety requirements.
• Support PTPs, JSAs/JHAs, permits, and other safety processes.
• Lead orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain required safety documentation and reports.
• Monitor high-risk work activities such as excavation, demolition, fall protection, electrical, confined space, and crane activities.
