Job summary

Nevell Group (NGi) in California is seeking an organized, analytical Risk Coordinator to support our Risk Management and Legal functions across workers’ compensation, claims administration, contract compliance, safety compliance, litigation support, and construction risk management.

This role collaborates with internal stakeholders and outside counsel to oversee claims, track contract obligations, ensure safety program alignment, and maintain compliant documentation across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Construction Management, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of business experience, including at least 3 years of experience in claims administration, risk management, safety/loss control, contract administration, or a related function within a mid-to-large construction organization.
• A paralegal certificate combined with qualifying experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
• Demonstrated experience within a legal, claims, or risk management environment is required.
• Qualifying backgrounds may include paralegal experience, construction-related claims management or adjusting experience involving workers’ compensation, general liability, builder’s risk, or property claims.

Responsibilities

• Support Risk Management/Legal with claims management, insurance matters, subpoenas, litigation support, and internal correspondence.
• Coordinate contract review workflows for project agreements with GC’s and second-tier subcontractors/vendors.
• Gather scopes, exhibits, and supporting docs; track revisions and route for review and execution.
• Perform initial reviews of contract terms and exhibits, including risk and insurance requirements.
• Maintain negotiation notes, correspondence, and executed agreement files.
