Job summary

Carolina CAT is seeking a results-driven Rental Operations Manager to lead the Construction Division's rental operations at a CAT Rental Store. You will guide a team of coordinators, supervisors, drivers, and support staff to achieve safety, service, and financial goals.

The role requires management of fleet utilization, budgeting, and steering the rental strategy in alignment with the company’s growth plans. Strong communication and leadership are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years rental ops experience.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to read P/L.
• Excellent people and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Caterpillar products and operations.
• Lean Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety and customer service as core culture.
• Lead rental coordinators, supervisors, drivers and staff.
• Hire, develop, and empower employees to make decisions.
• Develop training plans for team members.
• Implement rental strategy to drive growth and profitability.
• Monitor branch performance and improve processes.
• Manage fleet utilization and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and periodic financial reports.
• Resolve disputes between employees or customers.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing on market conditions.
