Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects with field inspectors reporting to you. You will write and own the project quality control plan and lead three-phase control meetings.

Role includes supervising QC inspectors, reviewing test logs, addressing NCRs with documented causes and corrective actions, and coordinating lab testing and certifications on active sites.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors;
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification;
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs;
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency;
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work;
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians;
• assign daily coverage and review their reports;
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings;
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
