Job summary

Grunley Construction is seeking a Quality Control Manager to ensure the highest quality standards on complex commercial, institutional, and government projects. The role requires leading QA/QC activities, developing plans, and coordinating with site teams to meet contract requirements.

The position reports to the President and collaborates closely with the on-site Superintendent, Project Manager, and Project Executive. US citizenship and USACE CQM certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field with a minimum of five (5) years of construction experience or an associate’s degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience.
• Must have working knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures and practices with the USACE.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop Quality Control Plan for submission.
• Review and approve work plans and product submissions.
• Plan for and conduct Three–Phase Inspection Program (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-up, Final).
• Perform Quality Control inspections and maintain a site-specific test log.
• Examine materials and equipment for compliance with submittals and contract requirements.
• Maintain log of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Verify as-built drawings are maintained.
• Prepare and distribute contemporaneous daily reports.
• Provide safety support with photo documentation of incidents and coordinate with Safety Department.
