Job summary

Grunley Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Manager to ensure materials and workmanship meet project requirements on DMV-area commercial, institutional, and government projects.

The role reports to VP & General Manager and collaborates with the onsite Superintendent, Project Manager, and Project Executive. Must hold US citizenship and the USACE CQM certificate. Competitive benefits and salary await, with a range of $90,000.00–$165,000.00.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree with ≥5 years construction experience, or an associate’s degree with ≥10 years experience.
• Working knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures, including experience with Corps of Engineers.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Submittal Management: Develop Quality Control Plan, review and approve work plans and product submissions.
• Plan for and conduct a three-phase inspection program including preparatory, initial, follow-up, and final inspections.
• Quality Control Inspections: develop a site-specific test log, verify compliance with submittals and contract requirements, maintain non‑compliance logs and corrective actions, check materials and dimensions, maintain as-built drawings.
• Daily Reports: prepare, distribute, and maintain contemporaneous daily reports.
• Safety Assistance: document accidents with photos, coordinate with Safety Department, annotate and download photos within 24 hours.
