Job summary

BL Harbert International is seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee daily QC activities on Fort Smith, AR projects, ensuring construction meets established standards.

You will manage submittal logs, review shop drawings, chair QC meetings, document inspections, and ensure correct handling of materials, with safety and quality as priorities. OSHA 30 preferred and strong collaboration with field teams.

Qualifications

• Experience managing quality control on construction projects.
• Ability to review shop drawings and submittals against specifications.
• Comfort with leading QC meetings and documenting work.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the project submittal log and QA reports.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specs.
• Chair and document weekly QC meetings with the superintendent and provide minutes.
• Provide written daily QC reports and address non-conformances.
• Verify and document material conformity and storage.
• Schedule and log inspections and ensure non-conformances are closed.
• Document final inspections and occupancy milestones.
• Stop work when safety, quality, or progress is affected.
