Job summary

RQ Construction, LLC is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager for field operations on a project assignment at a military base in Barksdale, LA. This on-site role requires coordinating a project-specific QC program and ensuring documentation compliance while maintaining client satisfaction.

Qualified candidates will have 10+ years in commercial construction with a minimum of 2 years as a QC Manager and hold the USACE CQM for Contractors Certificate; additional certifications such as LEED

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred in Industrial/Construction/Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
• Ten+ years in commercial construction as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer with at least 2 years as QC Manager.
• Current USACE CQM for Contractors Certificate required; RMS/QCS training preferred.
• Specialty inspection training and licenses/certs highly desired.
• LEED AP/GA certificate preferred.
• Level 1 EM 385‑1‑1, CRP, First Aid, OSHA 30-hour certifications required (training available).
• Computer literacy (MS Office, Outlook, Internet) required.
• Procore, Autodesk Build, RMS/QCS knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute QC performance in accordance with contract requirements.
• Complete administrative documentation on time.

Construction Quality Control Manager – Field Operations

Project assignment: Barksdale, LA, active military base.

QC Managers are responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a project-specific quality control program, executing its performance according to contract requirements, completing administrative documentation on time, and cultivating customer satisfaction with the client, all in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. The role is on-site and local candidates are preferred, with per diem available for qualified out-of-area candidates.

Pay: $140-$160k per year, depending on experience

Qualifications

• A BA/BS degree in Industrial/Construction/Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience and training may qualify.
• Ten or more years of combined experience in the commercial construction industry as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer, with at least two years as a QC Manager.
• A current USACE CQM for Contractors Certificate is required; RMS/QCS training is preferred (training available).
• Specialty inspection training and licenses/certs highly desired.
• LEED AP, AP+, or Green Associate (GA) Certificate preferred.
• Level 1 EM 385‑1‑1, CRP, First Aid, OSHA 30‑hour certifications required. Training can be provided.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
• Specific software literacy (Procore, Autodesk Build, RMS/QCS) preferred.
