Job summary

BB&E Inc. is seeking a Construction Surveillance Engineering Technician to support NAVFAC Southeast HQ, PWD, and ROICC at Corpus Christi, TX.

The role focuses on coordinating the construction quality management program and ensuring contractor QC plans meet project standards. The position requires 5+ years as a QC Manager on NAVFAC/USACE projects or 10 years as a foreman in relevant trades, with USACE CQM certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Quality Control Manager on NAVFAC/USACE projects or 10 years as a foreman in concrete, mechanical, electrical, masonry, or carpentry on commercial/industrial/military projects.
• USACE Construction CQM Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction quality management across assigned projects.
• Review contractor QC plans with the Construction Manager for approval.
• Attend QC, preparatory and initial meetings and monitor three-phase checklists for accuracy.
• Provide remarks on QA reports focusing on critical features of work.
• Capture progress photos and verify material quantities/conditions before invoicing.
• Support testing and commissioning of critical systems (HVAC, electrical, roofing, etc.).
• Ensure workmanship complies with specifications and standards; review test reports.
