Contrack Watts, Inc. in Bremerton, Washington is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead the commissioning and testing processes on a major project.

You will direct and document the QC program, coordinate testing laboratory personnel, and serve as the on-site owner representative to ensure conformity with plans and specifications. We are looking for a hands-on leader with a engineering background, at least ten years of construction experience including four years as QC Manager,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• QC Manager qualifications requiring experience on projects of similar size ($50 mil +) and complexity (Medium and High Voltage Electrical)
• A minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience (Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar)
• A minimum of four (4) years as a QC Manager
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Proven history of leading others successfully and to teach, develop and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the commissioning process on the project, including startup plan, commissioning schedule, and functional testing.
• Oversee the inspection process during commissioning to ensure timely delivery and adherence to customer specifications.
• Lead activities required in project closeout, including operations manuals, model turnover, and training.
• Serve as the main on-site point of contact with the owner and on-site representatives.
• Coordinate and document quality inspections and testing with QC staff and testing laboratories.
• Review submittals for accuracy and compliance with plans and specifications.
• Ensure shop drawing and submittal review/approval processes are effective and efficient.
• Communicate quality information for continuous improvement to project management and subcontractors.
