Job description

Construction QA/QC Program Manager

A day in the life in Bremerton, WA you start your morning walking the jobsite, reviewing the latest work against drawings and specs. You note a few punch items, talk through corrective steps with the superintendent, and capture photos and notes for your report. Midday, you meet with the project manager, design team, and key subcontractors to align on quality thresholds and safety interfaces. In the afternoon, you coach a junior engineer on inspection checklists, update the QC plan to reflect a new material submittal, and share recommendations with the client to head off rework before it starts.

What you will own
  • Build, maintain, and roll out project-specific quality assurance and quality control procedures.
  • Lead recurring field inspections and verifications to confirm adherence to plans, specs, and applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with project managers, engineers, and trade partners to resolve nonconformances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Author thorough quality reports, track trends, and present data-driven improvements.
  • Mentor team members on QC standards, inspection methods, and documentation discipline.
  • Continuously monitor evolving codes, standards, and industry guidance to keep projects compliant.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on quality matters, ensuring clarity and confidence.
What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience leading construction quality control or a comparable function.
  • Deep working knowledge of building methods, materials, testing, and acceptance criteria.
  • Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical approach to root-cause problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and modern QC software tools.
  • Quality certifications such as CQI or CQM are advantageous.
