Job summary

Risewell Homes is seeking a Purchaser to drive financial efficiency by bidding, awarding, and managing trade contracts. You will oversee bid invitations, analyze bids, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize costs and profitability.

The role requires 3+ years in purchasing within homebuilding, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication. This on-site position offers growth within a collaborative construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in homebuilding.
• Excellent computer skills with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and multi-project management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bid invitations to ensure top-tier bidder participation and communicate awards and rejections.
• Identify bid discrepancies, negotiate price adjustments, and develop bid analyses.
• Evaluate costs and profits of features to inform decisions.
• Assist Purchasing Manager with supplier and contract databases, rebates, discounts, and specs.
• Provide guidance on scope and contract updates to improve efficiency.
• Monitor pricing trends for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Construction, Sales and Design teams.
• Collaborate with Corporate Contracts to ensure timely execution of contracts and change orders.
• Read architectural plans and stay familiar with bidding best practices.
• Proactively manage and resolve conflicts with trade partners and field staff.
