Job summary

Prime Group – Prime General in Hollywood, FL seeks a Construction Purchasing Manager to lead bidding and buyout processes for residential and rental communities. You will set up upgrade programs and prepare contract documents while coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams.

The role requires strong reading of plans, CSI and Unit Price specs, and skilled use of Smart-Bid tools. A related degree and estimating experience are preferred, with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in construction-related field.
• Experience as estimator or project engineer advantageous.
• Proficiency reading blueprints and understanding construction methods.
• Strong written and verbal communication; excellent time management.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans and drawings.
• Understand project specifications in CSI and Unit Price formats.
• Prepare subcontractor bid lists and detailed scopes of work.
• Negotiate contracts and schedules of value; maintain subcontractor relationships.
• Create master scope sheets with multiple subcontractor proposals for review.
• Coordinate bids, addenda, RFI responses, and pricing with subcontractors.
