Job summary

CAA ICON internship program is looking for a motivated student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business. The in-person Summer 2027 internship runs May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, in San Jose, CA, offering real-world exposure to construction methodologies, stadium technology, and LEED practices.

A housing stipend is available for non-locals, laptop provided, and visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related with expected graduation in Spring/Summer/Winter 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
• GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
• Strong technical skills; proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, planning, and time management abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support daily needs including deliveries, scanning, document development, and maintaining tracking logs.
• Coordinate and maintain a master calendar for the project team; manage meetings and invites.
• Assist with file maintenance and taking meeting minutes.
• Attend scheduled meetings and document discussions and decisions.
• Assist with event planning and special projects.
• Assist with obtaining project data to establish schedules.
• Assist with monitoring budgets, contracting costs, and expenditures.
• Assist with contract administration and document control.
• Assist with RFIs, coordination of subcontractors, vendors, and staff.
• Navigate and markup architectural drawings; participate in site tours as needed.
• Capture site photographs and support team reporting.
• Review Purchase Orders and Change Orders for timely submission.
