Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western in Cape Canaveral, FL, is seeking a Project Scheduler for our Federal Building Division. This role partners with project management, superintendents and subcontractors to develop and manage the baseline schedule using Primavera P6.

You will analyze changes, assess risk, prepare weekly and monthly reports, forecast budgets and support claim mitigation while coordinating project controls and schedules across the team.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of project scheduling experience.
• Preparation and maintenance of at least 3 previous construction project schedules.
• Primavera experience required (P6 preferred).
• Understand baseline, progress, recovered schedules, float, critical path, and constraints.
• Claim experience required.
• Time impact analysis experience required.
• Multi-tasking in large teams and solving complex problems.
• Some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop baseline schedule with project management, superintendents and subs.
• Use scheduling software to load resources, costs and sequencing information.
• Coordinate project controls and assess risk per standards; present changes.
• Analyze changes to schedule and impact on cost and timeline.
• Ensure change orders and delays are documented and reviewed.
• Communicate schedule impacts on timeline and cost.
• Lead scheduling meetings and prepare weekly/monthly reports for staff.
• Forecast and manage the budget relative to the schedule.
• Perform claim mitigation and develop what-if contingency plans.
