Job summary

The Walsh Group in New Jersey is seeking a Project Scheduler to join our heavy civil team in Kearny. You will drive baseline schedules, coordinate with project management, supers and subcontractors, and ensure compliant, timely updates to the project plan.

Responsibilities include risk analysis, change order tracking, and cost-timeline impact assessments, with occasional travel. The role requires 3–5 years in scheduling and Primavera P6 expertise for critical path control.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of project scheduling experience.
• Primavera experience required (P6 preferred).
• Baseline, progress and recovered schedules, float, critical path concepts.
• Claim experience and time impact analysis required.
• Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops a baseline schedule coordinating with project management, superintendents and subs.
• Uses scheduling software to load resources, costs and sequencing information.
• Prepares risk and impact assessments and presents to the project team.
• Analyzes changes to schedules and cost/timeline impact.
• Maintains project change orders, delays and documentation.
• Leads scheduling meetings and distributes weekly/monthly reports.
• Forecasts and manages the project budget in relation to the schedule.
• Performs what-if analyses and contingency planning.
