Job summary

MLCO Construction, a Chicago-headquartered general contractor and design-builder, seeks a Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and coordination with the Superintendent to drive execution across active sites.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience in commercial construction, proficiency with Procore, strong financial acumen, and willingness to travel about 25%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PM experience in construction or related roles.
• Experience managing commercial construction projects valued roughly between $2M and $20M.
• Proficiency with project documentation, budgets, and schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts, and specifications.
• Travel approximately 25% to project sites across the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and execution strategies.
• Lead subcontractor bidding, scope reviews, and award decisions.
• Prepare subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and documentation.
• Coordinate with the Superintendent to support field execution.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, and profitability.
• Review applications for payment and support owner billing.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, drawings, and design coordination.
• Maintain accurate project records in Procore.
• Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and leadership.
