Job summary

OEG, Inc. in Idaho is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to learn under a full Project Manager. You will assist in supervising construction sites from bid preparation through closeout documentation, while developing the skills needed to lead projects independently.

During training you will shadow senior staff, gain exposure to contract management, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery and quality results.

Qualifications

• 5-year electrical apprenticeship or degree in construction engineering management or related field.
• 2-3 years' experience in a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager position.
• Experience in leadership within field environments is preferred.
• Background in construction management or estimator/project supervision is valued.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand the limits to the required scope of work (when a change order is required).
• Understand how to find notice requirements for changes, delays, or acceleration.
• Determine pricing for the job (fixed price, T&M, GMP, etc.).
• Know the contract closeout requirements and term of performance.
• Prepare for pre-job meetings and distribute minutes to attendees.
