Job summary

Essential Utilities, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager - Construction to manage schedules for multiple projects across markets. The role is largely office-based, coordinating with project managers, supervisors, and field staff to ensure data accuracy and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include tracking budgets and metrics, guiding subcontracted and self-performed work, and applying standard PM practices. A BS in engineering or construction management and 5 years PM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or any other field.
• Minimum of 5 years of design, estimating or construction project management experience, preferably in oil & gas.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Office suite programs.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and coordinates with Project Managers, Supervisors, Managers, and Operational Field Staff across disciplines on project information.
• Ensures accuracy of reported data to update and analyze project schedules, budgets, and metrics.
• Oversees schedules for self-performed and subcontracted projects of various scope and size.
• Manages multiple projects and categorizes workload by size (small, medium, large).
• Advises operations on short- and long-term schedules and monitors backlog to keep crews productive.
• Provides technical and financial oversight during design and estimating; supports change management.
• Monitors project financials and documents changes to initial objectives and scope.
• Follows PM best practices and identifies improvement opportunities.
• Plans, coordinates and may supervise scheduling, engineering, material control, and administrative staff.
• Updates project status in ERP and communicates progress to stakeholders.
• Oversees schedule deadlines, resolves conflicts, and suggests corrective actions to meet budgets.
• Advices managers on corrective actions and efficiency improvements.
