Job summary

Barnhart is seeking a Project Manager to oversee customer projects, focus on safety, schedule, profit, and satisfaction. You will work with the project team to develop and maintain schedules, communicate status, and manage risks throughout design and execution phases.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; PMP is preferred. Travel may be required and a company vehicle or allowance is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or sufficient experience.
• Project management experience on heavy construction projects preferred.
• PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong planning, leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and improve efficiency of the project management team.
• Participate in customer site visits, proposal and contract development.
• Manage handoff from sales to development and execution; document scope changes.
• Coordinate with customers, engineers, vendors, and others through design and planning.
• Develop and maintain overall project schedule; identify and mitigate risks.
• Regularly communicate project status including schedule, budget, risk, and quality.
• Coordinate work crews and scheduling of equipment; travel as needed.
