HDR is looking for a Construction Project Manager to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Construction Professionals in the Las Vegas/Phoenix Area.

As a Project Manager in our Construction Services Group, your focus will be on identifying opportunities, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and managing construction-related support activities for multi-discipline power design projects. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a key client contact tasked with building and maintaining client relations with both internal and external clients, coupled with the development of new Power Construction Services clients.
  • Work with marketing for proposal development and opportunity tracking.
  • Oversee contract and MSA negotiations, conduct resource recruitment, and provide invoice approval and budget development for multiple projects concurrently.
  • Serve as the key client contact and project manager on larger projects involving multiple services and personnel, making decisions on staffing levels, field resources, and external resource coordination to properly execute project goals.
  • Lead and/or support business development related to Construction Services, developing and maintaining annual goals.
  • Develop and lead the QA/QC process on a project-specific basis as well as maintain project document control.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of related experience and 2 years of project management.
  • Specific experience providing construction services support for Power Delivery, Hydro, Generation, and Renewables projects.
  • Travel will be required.
  • Experience managing/mentoring staff and leadership experience.
  • Strong client and project management skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret construction schedules.
  • Relevant Industry Certifications (PMP, PE, etc.)
