Job summary

QuesTec Mechanical in Independence, Missouri is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the execution, documentation and daily management of each project from our Independence office.

The role involves contract management, scope coordination, procurement, budgeting, safety, and client communications. A Bachelor's degree and proven PM experience in commercial piping projects are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role.
• Industry knowledge related to project management and piping design/installation.
• Strong understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems, building codes and safety practices.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of contract management including permits, insurance, bonds and related needs.
• Review and coordinate project scope; write and manage subcontractor agreements.
• Procure equipment; manage delivery and spec compliance.
• Manage project financials including budgets and payables.
• Coordinate with field superintendent and foreman to schedule work and manpower needs; liaise with trades.
• Ensure safety measures are followed and contract requirements are met.
• Respond to customer complaints and maintain positive relationships.
• Direct labor cost management and productivity analysis from start to finish.
• Manage RFIs, ASIs, PRs and other contract document changes.
• Ensure project completion and close-out documentation.
