Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead new construction, renovations, and capital improvements across its facilities.

The role requires coordinating architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors, managing scopes, budgets, schedules, and field issues onsite in Sugar Land, TX. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in CM/Engineering/Architecture, 5+ years of PM experience in commercial/industrial settings, and bilingual proficiency in Mandarin

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 5+ years of construction PM experience in commercial/industrial/institutional settings.
• Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English with professional proficiency in both.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, building systems, and project financial management.
• Proficient in Procore, MS Project, and MS Office; excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage new construction, renovation, and infrastructure upgrade projects from design through completion.
• Develop and oversee project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate and manage architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality, and resolve field issues.
• Ensure all projects comply with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Manage project documentation including contracts, RFIs, change orders, and closeout packages.
• Oversee project commissioning, turnover, and warranty processes.
