Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AOI) seeks a seasoned Manager of Facilities to lead all facility operations across Sugar Land, Pearland, or Missouri City campuses in Texas.

You will direct infrastructure, capital projects, and maintenance for cleanroom and manufacturing environments, ensuring safety, uptime, and regulatory compliance. The role reports to senior operations and oversees a team of engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, construction management, or industrial infrastructure operations.
• Demonstrated leadership managing multidisciplinary facilities teams.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, industrial utilities, and maintenance operations.
• Proven project management experience with capital projects, budgets, schedules.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Infrastructure Management: Develop long-term facility master plans aligned with business growth.
• Capital Projects and Construction Oversight: Manage major construction, budgets, schedules, and regulatory compliance.
• Facility Operations & Maintenance: Lead preventive and corrective maintenance, ensure uptime of critical systems.
• Team Leadership & Organizational Development: Mentor engineers, technicians, and supervisors; build scalable org.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Engineering, EHS, IT, and Finance.
