Job summary

Flowtec Construction in Chicago’s West Loop is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction initiatives from preconstruction through closeout. You will drive planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration while coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in commercial construction, a strong grasp of schedules and budgets, and proven ability to build lasting client

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience as a Project Manager with a General Contractor.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, schedules, and budgets.
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and project partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.
• Coordinate closely with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
• Maintain project schedules and budgets while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation.
• Drive communication and accountability across the project team.
• Participate in preconstruction and estimating efforts as needed.
• Help deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
• Utilize Lean construction principles and innovative project-delivery strategies to improve efficiency and project outcomes.
