Job summary

Flowtec Construction in Chicago seeks an experienced Superintendent to manage all day-to-day field operations on commercial and industrial projects. Local Chicago work only; no travel.

You will coordinate subcontractors, vendors and on-site personnel to keep projects on schedule, and work closely with the Project Manager to manage budgets and quality. Candidates should have 5+ years of superintendent experience with commercial GC firms, strong leadership and scheduling skills, and the ability to

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience managing commercial, industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or ground-up construction projects.
• Strong leadership, scheduling, and subcontractor management skills.
• Ability to read construction drawings and coordinate multiple trades.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day field operations from project start through closeout.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure budgets, schedules, and quality standards are met.
• Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and communicate project updates.
• Review drawings, RFIs, and submittals while resolving field issues proactively.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
