Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a capable Project Manager in Boise, Idaho to lead mid‑scale projects from initiation through closeout, managing scope, schedule, budget and quality while ensuring client satisfaction. You will support senior PMs on larger regional initiatives and mentor junior staff.

The role requires 3–5 years in project management, strong financial acumen, and proficiency with MS Project/Smartsheet/Procore. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate, Business, or related field.
• 3–5 years progressive experience in project management, construction management, or owner's representation.
• Experience independently managing projects from initiation through closeout (typically $250K–$1M).
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; confident presenting to clients and executives.
• Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore, etc.).
• Valid driver's license and travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium‑scale projects independently through initiation to closeout.
• Support senior PMs on larger projects and shadow leadership to learn complexities.
• Develop charters, schedules, WBS; manage critical path and site progress with visits.
• Procure and manage GC, subs, vendors; negotiate contracts within limits.
• Chair meetings, prepare agendas, track action items, manage change orders.
• Develop budgets, monitor costs, process PO/invoices, produce financial reports.
• Serve as primary client contact; maintain relationships and provide solutions.
• Maintain organized project files, logs, and ensure regulatory/compliance.
• Participate in design reviews, VE, and constructability assessments; assist portfolio planning.
• Engage in coaching with senior PMs to grow and mentor junior team members.
